As part of our support to the children and families connected to the hospices, we like to do that little extra, so at Easter and Christmas in particular we like to donate a few extra presents..

We have also supported one-off larger requests. In 2016 we have agreed to decorate and kit out a new family room in the new Hospice in Norwich, called the Nook.
Please read below a letter from their Head of Fundraising:
East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) supports families and cares for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk. Our family centred approach includes specialist nursing care, symptom management support, short breaks, wellbeing activities, therapies and counselling; all meeting the individual needs of the child, young person and whole family.
We need a new hospice, the nook, to meet the demand for our services in Norfolk. We have outgrown our current hospice in Quidenham; a very old building over two storeys. Accessibility and flexibility within the building is restricted and there isn’t the scope to expand. The nook will be in an idyllic woodland plot, which will create a wonderful tranquil setting for children and families. It will also be better positioned in the county, within a thriving local community and won’t be isolated from local services, hospitals and road networks.
The new nook hospice will enable us to provide more choice and flexibility for families. It will provide seven larger, better equipped bedrooms for children and young people but also three en-suite family accommodation rooms. In the darkest and most painful of times, we’re able to give families the best in the worst possible situation. The support of Magic Moments Charity will fund the furnishings and equipment for one of these new family bedrooms.
