Jon joined Spicerhaart in 2007 to support Paul Smith in the day to day running of the business. Since joining he now oversees both the Group’s Marketing and Facilities divisions including managing all the group office refurbishments and plays a major role in Operations for Spicerhaart. Previously, he worked for Barclays Bank for eleven years and Newsquest Media Group for six years. Jon was Treasurer for his daughters' school PTA, the post of which he held for six years. Jon has been a Trustee of Magic Moments since its change from Fantasyland in 2010 and in January 2015 took the lead role as Chair.
Emma returned to Spicerhaart in 2005 as a Branch Manager in Middlesex & M1, progressing to role of Divisional Training Manager for Metro & Middlesex & M1 and then to her current role of Head of Training. Emma has always been supportive of the charity by attending events and fundraisers and now "looks forward to a more active role as trustee in an amazing charity that does remarkable things." Emma lives at home with her husband Dave, a serving member of HM Forces and Hartley & Harry the dogs. Dave and Hartley are also very active in relation to their Magic Moments fundraising efforts and often attend Dragon Boat Races and Quiz Nights.
I joined Spicerhaart in 1997 as a part of the Financial Services team before defecting across to the Estate Agency side approximately 15 years ago. I have a been working as a Regional PA for a number of years and help look after the two Regions of Darlows and haart West. I was truly honoured to be asked to become a member of the Charity Committee a number of years ago and I hope that between us all, we can raise as much money as possible to help every child in our supported hospices. I have a 27 year old daughter which really makes me feel old and my hobbies, being Welsh, I adore Rugby and socialising :-)
Sarah, PA to the CFO and CIO, joined the Spicerhaart Group in 2002 and has provided admin support to the Charity throughout that time. Sarah was thrilled to accept the position of Trustee as she is passionate about Magic Moments and the joy the Disney trips can bring to such deserving children and their families during very difficult times.
Has been a trustee of the charity, together with Val Smith and Alison Ager, since its formation in 1998 by Val and Alick Smith. He is a good friend of Val and Alick. His commercial background is in finance and he has been looking after the accounts of the charity.
Nigel is the Spicerhaart internal filmmaker who has done everything in his career from the military to a fully qualified accountant, but it is was in 2014 when filming one of our trips to Disney that Nigel got hooked on the good Magic Moments does. In 2015 Nigel lead the successful Magic Moments 3 Peaks attempt which was our biggest challenge to date. Nigel lives in Colchester with his wife Donna and his children George and Amelia with the dog called “Boo" always bringing up the rear. He became a board member of Magic Moments in April 2016 and is looking forward to thinking up some crazy challenges and capturing more amazing families in Disney. One word of warning from our chairman - never challenge Nigel
Tom has worked for haart for nearly three years having started as a Sales Negotiator and then working his way up through the ranks to become Branch Manager. With seven years experience in corporate hospitality his ethos is very much customer service based. Outside of work Tom has grown up and gone to school in the area and currently lives with his wife of four years and his dog less than a mile from the office. Along with his wife and family he has always be involved with charitable causes and is delighted to be a new addition to the Board of Magic Moments.
Claire Drewett joined Spicerhaart in July 2017 and brings with her over 17 year’s experience in the new homes industry - predominantly covering the Central Region of England. Claire spent 4 years working for Knight Frank LLP in the London, Oxfordshire and Birmingham markets before moving onto working for a developer based in the Midlands as a Sales and Marketing Director. More recently, Claire spent 4 years working for the Connells group, covering Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, Northamptonshire and Wiltshire areas, where she was recognised through promotion to the Board of Management. She prides herself on her vast knowledge of the regional market as well as surpassing the expectations of the developers with which she has worked alongside.
Antony oversees the Just Mortgages arm of Spicerhaart. A vastly experienced financial services practitioner within the Estate Agency sector. He began his professional career as a Mortgage Consultant. Antony is proud to be an Arsenal fan and a keen golfer; and is married to Paige and the father of two.
Jon has been with Spicerhaart since 2010 and is the Managing Director of the Legal services division; he started in estate agency in 1991. Outside work Jon is closely involved as a volunteer with his local Scout Troop, he’s a father of three and lives in Hampshire with his partner Leanne, the kids and a Cockerpoo called Doris!
I joined Spicerhaart at the beginning of 2005 managing the Account’s department. I have helped support Magic Moments throughout the years. I temporarily took over running Magic Moments at Corporate Sales back in October 2016, and have now taken on the position full time. Here at Blackpool we are very passionate about Magic Moments and aim to raise as much money as possible. I live in Blackpool with my son Steven (my world) and our dog TJ who is crazy so fits in very well. I have huge support from my family when running events. I am glad to be a part of this amazing team and look forward to new fund raising challenges.
I have worked in estate agency in Torbay for 23 years and for haart for over 16 years and have loved working for this company I started estate agency when I was 19 and it is the only career I have had and won many awards over the years and worked my way to Senior Branch Manager with haart. I have always supported the charity and I have 2 children myself aged 10 and 4 so the charity is very close to my heart as I can’t imagine what the families go through. I have lived in Torbay from when I was a child so know Torquay, Paignton & Brixham really well.
I’ve been with the company for over 20 years, worked my way up to Senior Branch Manager within the same branch. I have done a lot of charity work for Cancer research which is a charity which is close to my heart. I live with my husband Phil and miniature Dashund Roxy in Bury St Edmunds. Really looking forward to doing more for the charity in 2015, after recently completing the London to Brighton bike ride last year; with some of the Bury team, and having done a few local events for the charity throughout the year. We aim to continue to raise as much as possible to make sure we send even more children off for a trip of a lifetime.
Sharon Owen commenced working for Haybrook in June 2007 which became part of the Spicerhaart family at the latter end of the same year. She started as branch Manager for the Sheffield Lettings branch and promoted to Area Manager for Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. Prior to this Sharon worked as a SEO consultant after a successful 10 years as a Manager with the Guardian Media Group contributing in providing platforms for Developers and Estate Agents in the heights of Manchester's Regeneration. Sharon is an enthusiastic caring individual and once she has a vision will make it happen. A good listening ear in work life and home life. She enjoys DIY and property renovations, quality time with family and friends. Sharon is married to Steven with a 9 year old Son, Jaiden and proud owner of three Bengal Cats who are 12 months old.
I joined butters john bee 15 years ago, initially in our Commercial Department then gaining experience in the sales team as a viewing representative, then as a sales negotiator before becoming Assistant Manager of the Crewe branch. After 4 years in this role, I was delighted to be offered the position of Branch Manager and now relish the daily challenges and successes offered to me and my team. In my spare time, I enjoy spa days, reading, and walking my dogs. I do rather like a gin and tonic but the greatest pleasure in my life is my Grandson, Harry. I am delighted to have been asked to help with the Magic Moments charity and look forward to helping raise money for an incredibly worthwhile cause.
Alexander has been with Spicerhaart for six years based in Central London moving from Negotiator to Partner: running the Clerkenwell office. Having been involved in many charity related activities throughout his education and numerous Magic Moments bike rides, boat races and recently a parachute jump – Alexander was delighted to have been asked to join the board to represent the London arm of Spicerhaart; Felicity J. Lord. Alexander looks forward to bringing exciting charity fund raising events from the division and developing the growth of the charity within Central London. Alexander lives in Blackheath, London with his girlfriend of eight years – he is avid motorcyclist, watch collector (wink, wink Nigel Camping) and world traveller – having a task of seeing five new countries a year to ensure he visits every country on the planet before he is too old to do so!
Lewis joined Spicerhaart in September 2011 as a Divisional Lettings Director, responsible for the newly created Metro & Kent Division. Having worked within the Estate Agency Industry for the best part of 20 years, Lewis has relished the opportunity at Spicerhaart of creating a brand new lettings Division covering both Essex and Kent. “I have been amazed by the passion and enthusiasm of everyone I have been involved with at Spicerhaart so far, and can easily see why the Group is the largest and most successful Independent Estate Agent within the UK. I also feel very privileged to have been asked to be involved with our Magic Moments charity. As a proud parent myself, I am delighted to have an opportunity to do whatever I can, to support as many children as possible through the charity and provide them with truly Magic Moments that they will cherish."
