Thanks to our amazing fundraising last year, we are running two trips for the first time in 2016. In addition to our annual trip in November, we have been to Disneyland Paris in July.
We took 12 families from our supported hospices, with a group size of 65 on the trip.
We stayed in the newly refurbished Newport Bay Disney Hotel. The Hotel was absolutely stunning and the weather we had was truly sensational.
On Tuesday, the whole group met up for breakfast with the characters at Cafe Mickey. This truly was a magical moment to share with everyone.
Jon Martin, chair of the charity led this first summer trip, supported for the first time by Trustee Sarah Sheppard. Sarah has arranged six of the previous trips but has never been able to join, so it’s a fantastic pleasure that Sarah could meet the amazing families that joined us. Charity board members Sharon Owen and Nigel Campling also joined the trip.
Sharon represents our Haybrook brand in Sheffield and Nigel is a filmmaker who will be creating a film to share the memories.
